TISSNET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification

Candidates should have successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's Degree of minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.

OR

Candidates who will successfully complete, in all respects, all the requirements of their final year eligible degree by 05 June 2020, are also eligible to apply.

OR

Those who are in the final year but are eligible to apply (as per clause b, above) are required to produce the mark sheets of all previous semesters (excluding the final semester) for verification on the date of personal interview. 

Final pass result should be produced at the time of joining the programme if selected.

Age Limit There is no age-limit criteria nor restriction on the number of attempts.

TISSNET 2020 Mode of Fee Payment

Modes of Fee Payment:

 

  • Candidates applying online will be asked to choose between two modes of payment 'Cash' or 'Payment Gateway' in the online application form.
  •  If the preferred mode of payment is 'Cash', a payment challan has to be downloaded from the 'Download Challan' tab. 
  • Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of State Bank of India.
  • The bank will return two copies of the challan copy (Student Copy and TISS Copy) with the bank’s seal, signature and journal number on it. 
  • Candidates have to then scan the 'TISS Copy' of the challan, login back to the online application system and upload it.
  • Please note that in case of payment by cash deposit in an SBI branch, the SBI will charge Rs. 50/- as their processing fee, which has to be paid separately, and is not a part of the application fees.
  • Candidates who are eligible for an application form at a concessional fee of Rs. 250 (through Bank Challan) have to upload their income and caste certificates.
  • Their application will be accepted upon verification of the certificates and the admit card will be accessible to the candidate thereafter. 
  • Applications of candidates who pay by cash will be accepted only after the Institute verifies the challan and the admit card will be accessible to the candidate thereafter. 

TISSNET 2020 Online Application Process

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Form:

 

  • Visit the official website of TISSNET 2020.
  • Go through the 'MA Programmes' Section.
  • Click on 'Registered Candidates to apply' for already Registered candidates and 'New Candidates Registration' for New Registration.
  • Applicants will be redirected to a new login page.
  • Applicants are allowed to register and create a password by activating the link sent to the Mail Id Registered.
  • Candidates will have an option to fill the form and complete the processes entirely and save the form.
  • Candidates are expected to give their preference for one centre only in the online application
  • Applicants will have to upload their Photograph, signature saving the details.
  • After uploading these documents, click on the "Submit" button.
  • Mode of Payment: Candidate can pay fees online/ offline (Bank Challan).
  • After Payment, Take a print out of the application form and preserve for future reference.

 

Note:-

 

1) Charges by Bank will be charged as per norm over and above the prescribed fee.

 

2) TISSNET 2020 Application Fee is non-refundable in any case.

 

3) Payments made via demand draft, pay order or any mode other than the above modes is not acceptable and the application will be rejected.

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

 

Note: Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material) or electronic gadgets etc., in the Examination Room/ Hall.

Candidates are expected to print the admit card and bring it for the TISSNET and keep it for verification till the completion of the admission if selected. Candidates who reach the NET centre with no admit card and proofs of identity will not be allowed to sit for the test.

Candidates are also requested to check the instructions before they attend the entrance exam.

No candidate is allowed to carry any baggage inside the examination hall.
Candidate should not leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam. Books, printed papers (other than their Admit Cards), Manuscripts or electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, cell phones and electronic diary, calculators etc, must not be taken into the examination hall.
Candidates are requested to take care of their own things like materials, purses, gold etc., and should be self- responsible for their things.

Malpractice of any form detected during or after the examination is liable to severe punishment.

Approach the hall invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of the examination. Under no circumstances, you should click on any of the ‘keyboard keys’ as this will lock the TISSNET exam.

TISSNET 2020 Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure
  • All candidates who successfully qualify TISSNET will be called for Pre-Interview Test/ Group Discussion and Interview round. 

 

 

  • TISSNET Selection Procedure has three components of assessment.

 

  • The components are:
  1. National Entrance Test
  2. Pre-Interview Test/ Group Discussion (GD)
  3. Personal Interview (PI)

Pre-Interview Test (PIT)/ Group Discussion Round

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted after the entrance examination will be invited for the subsequent round of Pre-Interview Test.

 

  • The Pre-Interview Test is a written test conducted as part of the TISSNET Selection Procedure.

 

  • There will be 2 sections:
  1. Section I (25-30 Marks) will be of Essay Writing (1000-1500 words)
  2. Section II (20-25 Marks) will be a short case-let with 4 questions based on it.
  • The duration of the PIT is 35-45 minutes.

Personal Interview Round

  • The final round of the TISSNET selection process is the Personal Interview (PI).

 

  • Candidates are expected to be acquainted with the program for which they have applied, for the PI round.

 

  • The questions are normally asked regarding their program the candidates choose.
TISSNET 2020 Merit List
Once all the 3 stages of TISSNET Selection Process are done, TISS will prepare a final merit list of selected students. Students who secure the maximum marks have chances of getting their preferred college. List of Selected Candidates and list of wait-listed candidates will be displayed on the TISS admission website.
