Eligibility

NEET MDS 2020 Eligibility
Nationality
  • Only Indian citizens can apply for the examination.
Educational Qualification
  • Candidate must have passed Bachelor of Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/ recognized dental college.

 

  • Candidates should have completed 12 months training in rotation or practical training before 31st March of respective year for taking NEET MDS Exam.

 

Note: Candidates who have qualified MBBS from the state of J&K are NOT Eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. However, the candidate who was nominated by the GOI (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in J&K shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats.

NEET MDS 2020 - Identification Documents

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents: (Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false/ forged documents.)

 

 

  • A printed copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it.

 

  • Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI registration, to be retained by the test centre

 

  • Anyone of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired)

NEET 2020 MDS - Exam Day Instructions

Test Centre Location:

 

  • Exact address and location of the test centre shall be indicated in the admit card. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the test centre locations at least one day prior to the examination day and ensure that they report for the test as per scheduled time only. Candidates are required to plan their travel accordingly.

 

  • Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the location of the test centre and plan travel time accordingly. Candidates have to reach the test centres on or before the reporting time. Candidates may note that late entry to the examination premises is not permitted under any circumstances. NBE shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate in reaching the centre due to any reason.

 

  • All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards and biometric information shall be captured.

 

  • Identity checks will be made upon arrival at the test centre to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the test. Candidates are required to cooperate with the security checks.

 

  • Please note that only the registered candidates will be allowed at the examination centre.

 

  • Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry in the test centre under any circumstances and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing

 

Reporting of Candidates To The Test Centre:

 

Candidates may note that the reporting time refers to the time at which the candidate reaches the Reporting counter at the test centre. A candidate who fails to report to the reporting counter by the stipulated time as indicated above shall not be allowed to enter the examination premises that is Reporting counter and beyond. The candidate should arrive at the Reporting counter at least two hours before the commencement of exam i.e. 01:30 PM. This allows for security checks, identity verification, image capture, bio-metric Note: Possession/ Use of Mobile Phones/ Electronic Devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of NBE Examination Centre. Candidates shall be liable for penal action for Possession/ Use of Mobile Phone/ Electronic Devices 29 capture etc. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the exam start time. The following shall be undertaken upon reporting at the counter.

 

  • ID verification – The original documents as has been indicated in Para 8.5 will be checked in the original. All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards.

 

  • Capture of left thumbprints – The left thumbprints of all candidates shall be captured electronically and candidates are requested to cooperate with the on-duty staff with this process.

 

  • Capturing of the digital image – As a security measure, the digital image of the reporting candidates shall be captured and taken on record.

 

  • The invigilator /on-duty staff shall guide the candidate to the assigned work station.

 

  • Kindly note that the reporting time has been indicated to timely complete the foregoing activities as well as to familiarize the candidate with the process.

 

  • Candidates may note that they will not be allowed entry to the test centre after 3:00 PM. vii. Candidates are also advised to check the requirement for mandatory documents on Testing Day and comply with the same. viii. NBE / Test centre / Designated Agency / Staff on duty shall not be liable under any circumstances for delayed reporting and/ or non-presentation of mandatory documents.

 

Security at The Test Centre

 

Candidates will not be allowed to take the following items inside the examination centre under any circumstances. All the candidates will be subjected to compulsory frisking before entering the examination centre:

 

  • Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, etc.

 

  • Any electronic device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, wristwatch/ Health Band, Calculator, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc.

 

  • All ornaments like bracelets, Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Necklace with pendants, Badge, Brooch etc.

 

  • Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap etc.

 

  • Any eatable item opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottle etc.

 

  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices like wireless/Bluetooth device, spy camera etc

 

No arrangement will be made at the centres for keeping any articles/items belonging to the candidates. In case any candidate is found in possession of any of the barred items inside the centre, it will be considered as use of unfair means and action will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions. To avoid any hardship candidates are advised not to bring such items along with them at the test centre.

 

Left/Right thumbprints and photographs of all the candidates will be captured and candidates are requested to cooperate with this essential activity to avoid any cases of impersonation. This is a security feature which will also ensure that only genuine and bonafide candidate appear for the exam and allowed to join an institute for training.

 

ID verification – The original documents as has been indicated checked in the original. All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards. N.B. All candidates are required to cooperate with the above-mentioned security measures the test centre. This will help in preventing any use of unfair means and will be instrumental in maintaining the sanctity of the examination. Any candidate not adhering to the aforementioned security measures will not be allowed to take the test.

NEET MDS 2020 - Test Day Procedures

Test Day Procedures:

 

  • After verification of Identity and biometrics, candidates will be escorted to the designated computer terminal at the examination centre and an invigilator checks in the candidate.

 

  • Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of the examination.

 

  • Candidates are required to listen to the invigilator’s instructions to begin the test.

 

  • No rough paper for any rough work shall be provided at the centre.

 

  • Each workstation will be blocked on three sides – front, left and right. Candidates are advised not to look around at other candidates as peeping into the computer monitor screen of the other candidate(s) will be considered as use of unfair means and may lead to cancellation of candidature. Please also note that there will be surveillance cameras that record video.

 

  • Any suspicious or disruptive behaviour on part of the candidate may lead to cancellation of candidature.

 

  • For any issues during the test, a candidate may raise his or her hand to notify Invigilator.

 

  • In case of any disruption, rest assured that a registered candidate will get to test again within the testing/examination window.

Types of Merit List:

 

  • All India NEET-MDS 2020  rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-MDS 2020.

 

  • All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-MDS 2020  for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota Post Graduate MDS Courses 2020 admission session.

  • All India 50% quota Category Rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (OBC/SC/ST) as opted by the candidate in the NEET –MDS 2020 for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota Post Graduate MDS Courses 2020 admission session only.

 

  • State quota/ Private Dental colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank: State quota rank, state category rank, benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting(if applicable), etc shall be determined/generated by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/university/concerned authority as per applicable Regulation and/or their eligibility criteria, guidelines, and applicable reservation policies.

Counselling

NEET MDS 2020 - Counselling Procudure
  • From March 18th onwards, it expects the NEET MDS 2020 Counselling to be conducted and there will be two rounds of NEET MDS 2020 Counselling conducted for the aspirants who are seeking admission in MDS course.

 

  • There shall be common counseling for admission to all post-graduate courses (Diploma/MDS) in all dental educational institutions based on the merit list of the NEET.

 

  • The designated authority for counseling for the 50% All India Quota seats of the contributing States, as per the existing scheme for postgraduate (Diploma/MDS) courses shall be the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

 

  • The aspirant has the chance to attend the second counselling if the candidate cannot get admission in the first counselling because of low grades scored in the examination.

 

  • Further Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India shall conduct counseling for all post-graduate (Diploma/MDS) Courses in Dental Educational Institutions of the Central Government, Universities established by an Act of Parliament and the Deemed Universities.

 

  • The counseling for admission to post-graduate (Diploma/ MDS) courses in all dental Educational Institutions in a State/ Union Territory, including dental educational institutions established by the State Government, University established by an Act of State/ Union Territory Legislature, Trust, Society, Minority Institutions shall be conducted by the State/Union Territory Government.

  • In case the Date of Birth is not mentioned in Class X Certificate, Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate is required for the same.

 

  • Original e- Admit Card, counselling letter from ICAR should also be present with the candidate.

 

  • Four recent and clear passport size colored photographs need to be submitted. They should have candidates name and date mentioned at the back.
