Introduction

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020 is a University Level Entrance Examination for admitting candidates to various UG and PG degree programs. It is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) formerly known as Manipal University. MET 2020 is scheduled from Third to Last week of April 2020 (tentatively) in Online Mode. Eligibility

 MET 2020 Eligibility Criteria of Indian Nationals for UG Courses
Courses Qualification and Age Limit
All B.Tech Programs Pass in 10+2/ A Level/ IB/ American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ any technical vocational subjects as optional, from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
All B.Tech Programs – Lateral Entry  

Pass in 3-year Diploma granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government, with minimum 45 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

 

(Or)

 

Pass in BSc Degree, with Mathematics in 12th standard, from a recognized institution/university with minimum 45 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

All BBA programs

and

All B.Com Programs

Pass in 10+2/ A Level/ IB/ American 12th grade or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

BA Media and Communication

Pass in 10+2/ A Level/ IB/ American 12th grade or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 45 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

 

Arts group subjects will be the preferred qualification.

B.Pharm

Pass in 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

 

Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

 

Candidates must be born on or before 31.12.2002.

 

NIOS Candidates are eligible.

B.Pharm – Lateral Entry

Pass in Diploma (Pharmacy) from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.

D Pharm

Pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, English with Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology as optional subjects from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.

Pharm D

Pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

All MSc (Medical) courses

Pass in BSc (with at least one subject of Biological Sciences)/ BAMS/ MBBS/ BHMS/ BPT/ BPharm from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate or equivalent.

B.Sc graduates with Physics and Chemistry Options could be considered for admission to MSc (Medical) Biochemistry course.

MSc Genetic Counseling

Pass in MBBS/ BDS/ BSc (Nursing/ Human Genetics/ Human Biology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Allied Health courses) from a recognized University, with minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent.
All MPT programs

Pass in BPT from a recognized University, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

Candidate MUST have completed their internship before class commencement.

MSc Clinical Psychology

Pass in BA/ BSc Degree in Psychology from a recognized university, with minimum 55 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

MSc Audiology

Pass in B.ASLP/ BSc (Speech & Hearing)/ BSLH degree from any University recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent.

 

Candidates MUST be born on or before July 1, 1989.

MSc Speech-Language Pathology

All MSc Nursing Programs

Pass in BSc Nursing/ PB BSc Nursing degree recognized by Indian Nursing Council, with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent.

 

Must have 1 year of experience as on 31 July 2020 after BSc Nursing in a hospital of at least 100 beds/ in a community health program/ in a school or college of nursing.

 

PB BSc Degree holders need to have one year experience either before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing degree.

MSc Stem Cell Technology & Regenerative Biology

Pass in BSc with at least one subject of biological sciences/ MBBS/ B.Pharm/ BVSc/ BE (Biotechnology)/ B.Tech (Biotechnology) programme from a recognized University, with minimum 60 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

All BTech programs

English, Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or any technical vocational subject as an optional subject (preferably Mathematics at HL level).

The minimum requirement is an average of 4 points for English, Physics, Mathematics and any optional subject.

Courses Qualification and Age Limit ( American High School Diploma )
All BTech programs

English, Physics, Mathematics (up to Calculus AB/ BC) and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or any technical vocation subject as optional subject between Grade 11 & 12 (preferably as Advanced Placement courses).

Minimum grade required is an average of ‘C’ and GPA ≥ 3.0.

Pass in MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).

 

Candidates holding a foreign degree must be registered practitioners in the country from where they have obtained their degree and MUST obtain a temporary registration certificate from Medical Council of India (MCI).

Steps to fill MET 2020 Online Application Form:

 

  • Candidates will have to visit the Official Website.

 

  • Click on 'Apply Now'.

 

  • Register or Log-in into the website.

 

  • Select the Stream you wish to apply.

 

  • Candidates have to enter all the required information.

 

  • Candidates have to upload recently clicked Passport Size Photo.

 

  • The Candidate also should upload Scanned Image of their Signature.

 

  • General Category Candidates need to pay 600/- as Application Fee & 1400/- as Entrance Exam Fee.

 

  • Foreign Nationals have to pay 2500/- for both Application Fees & Entrance Exam Fees. 

 

  • Candidates must enter valid Mobile Number and Email-ID.

Free-Ship:

 

  • B.TechCandidates who have secured within the first 100 ranks in B.Tech merit list in MET 2020 are offered 100 % freeship.

 

  • B.Pharm: Candidates who have secured within the first 100 ranks of the B.Pharm merit list in the MET 2020 are offered 100 % freeship.

 

  • Candidates are required to pay the appropriate first -ear course fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000/- at the time of Counseling. The excess amount paid shall be refunded after the class commencement.

 

  • The freeship will cover only the course fee payable for the particular course of study. The freeship will not cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books etc.

 

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:

 

  • Candidates admitted to B.Tech & B.Pharm courses from rank 101 to 1000 of the respective merit list in the MET 2020 are eligible for the merit-cum-means scholarship. Scholarship amount shall be determined based on the parents’ annual income (from all sources) as mentioned below:

  • Candidates are required to pay the full first-year course fee at the time of Reporting.

 

  • Candidates should also produce Notary attested photocopy of the Income Tax (IT) return form for Assessment Year 2020-2020 for proof of parents’ income before 31 Aug 2020.

 

  • List of eligible students will be published by 15 Sep 2020.

 

  • The excess amount paid shall be refunded, after the finalization of the eligible candidate list.

Note: Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material) or electronic gadgets etc., in the Examination Room/ Hall.

· Candidates have to reach the Examination Center before the reporting time because of pre-test procedure including Registration and On-Site Orientation.

· Once the On-Site Registration has begun, he/ she shall not be allowed into the examination hall.

· Candidates must also register their names at the registration counter where their hall tickets are also verified.

. Candidates are not allowed to bring any kind of printed/written materials to the exam hall.

· Once the test starts, the candidate will not be allowed to go outside the exam hall under any circumstances.

. Candidates are also not allowed to carry calculators, any kind of electronic gadgets, wrist-watches, or any other object/device into the exam hall.

· During the exam, Candidates have to be silent and let others write their exam peacefully.

· Candidates found doing unfair things in the presence of invigilator his/her application is cancelled and banned immediately.
