Eligibility

4.  Ground Duty Non-technical

Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree

Age Limit (As on 1 July 2020)
(i) Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2020

Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 2001 (both dates inclusive).

(ii) Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years

Physical Requirements
1. Minimum Height for men and women candidates in Flying Branch: 162.5 cms, Leg Length: Min – 99 cms, Max -120 cms. Thigh Length: Max – 64 cms, Sitting Height: Min – 81.5 cms, Max – 96 cms (No concession for age/ sex/ region).

2. Minimum Height for male candidates in Ground Duty (Technical/Non-technical): 157.5 cms.
For women candidates: 152 cms.

Note: For Gorkhas and individual belonging to hills of North-Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable height will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height will be 2 cms less than what is applicable to men and women respectively

To Apply for Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2020

1. Click on the link provided below (link inactive now)
2. A new page will appear. New Users will have to register first.
3. Click on New User Register
4. A new page will appear to enter your mobile no. and email to register yourself.
5. An OTP will be sent on your mobile no. and email.
6. Click on “Submit”.
7. A Login Id and Password will be sent to your registered mobile no. and email id.
8. Login using the Registration Number and Password. Select the post.
9. Fill up other details such as educational qualifications etc. depending upon the educational qualification of the candidate.

Note:

1. Pay examination fee as applicable, online using Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking
2. Candidates are required to upload their scanned color photograph and Signature (in English or in Hindi) in JPEG format.
3. Login with Registration Number and Password in the link for “UPLOAD” and thereafter, upload the file/scanned filled
4. Upload all the required certificates
5. Submit the application. Print out the acknowledgment for records.

Selection

The testing at AFSB would consist of three stages as given below:-
(i) Stage-I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test will be conducted on the first day. Candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I or do not meet the
required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.

(ii) Stage-II: Psychological test will be conducted on Day 1(Afternoon) and the Group Tests and Interview would commence after document check for the next five days.

(iii) For Flying Branch: Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test.

Note: Candidates who have failed the CPSS/ PABT in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible.

Marking Scheme For AFCAT 2020
1. All the questions will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT.
2. All the Questions will be objective in nature.
3. Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
4. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
5. No marks for unattempted questions
