GITAM GAT 2020 - Application Process

Note: The application form can be applied in both online and offline mode. The different modes of application are given below:

Online Mode:

• Visit the Official Website of GITAM GAT 2020.

• Candidates must register themselves for the exam.

• Login ID and password will be sent to the candidate's e-mail or to the phone number via SMS. 

• Candidates can use these credentials to log in.

• They have to fill all the necessary information in the form.

• It will include the candidate's personal information, contact details and educational qualification.

• Candidates have to upload the recent colour scanned copy of the photograph and signature.

• They must be in JPG format and can have a maximum size of 50KB.

• After filling in all the details, proceed to make fee payment.

• Once all the process is completed, click on the submit button.

• Applicants must check for the correctness of the information in the form. Once the form is submitted, information cannot be changed.

• Candidates can take a print out of the form after filling in all the details and also the payment slip for proof of acknowledgement. 

Offline Mode:

• Candidates can obtain by post from director-admissions by sending a request with the candidate's name with the complete mailing address.

• This must be sent with a demand draft for INR 150/- drawn in favour of "GITAM University" payable at Visakhapatnam from any nationalized bank.

• Applicants fill the details and attach a recent colour passport size photograph along with other necessary documents.

• Candidates can take a photocopy of the filled application form and also the DD for proof of acknowledgement.

Availability of Hall Ticket

• The admit card is expected to be released one week prior to the exam date. GITAM GAT 2020 will be conducted from 3^rd Week of April 2020 (Tentative).

Download Procedure

To download the admit card, candidates can follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the Official Website of GITAM GAT 2020.

Step 2: Login with the help of Registration number and Date of birth, and click on ‘Proceed’ option.

Step 3: To book the test slot, select the exam centre, exam day and slot as per your convenience.

Step 4: After the slot booking is done, candidates will be directed to hall ticket page.

Step 5: Click on the link displaying GITAM GAT 2020 admit card.

Step 6: Verify every detail mentioned on the admit card.

Step 7: Download the admit card and take 2 printouts of the same.

Slot Booking

• Candidates need to book a slot for getting GITAM GAT 2020 admit card.

• The process of slot booking will be performed from 1^st Week of April 2020 (Tentative).

• During this time of slot booking, candidates need to select the exam date, examination centre and slot according to their preference.

• No, admit card will be issued to any candidates without booking the slot.

• At the time of slot booking, candidates are required to submit their date of birth, gender and application number.

GITAM GAT 2020 - Exam Day Instructions

Candidates who are appearing for GITAM GAT 2020 Exam need to follow some guidelines and instructions to ensure the smooth running of the exam.

• Candidates’ name will be registered at the registration counter in the test centre. The e-hall tickets downloaded by the candidates will be strictly verified by the invigilator to confirm their identity.

• Candidates must arrive at the examination centre an hour before the mentioned time in the admit card as there would be an on-site orientation before the written examination begins. If, in case, a candidate arrives after the orientation begins, he/she will not be allowed to write the exam. If a candidate does not report on the given time, they will miss on some of the general and equally important instructions related to the test.

• The test hall is expected to open around 30 minutes before the exam begins. Moreover, students should take the allotted seat at least 15 minutes before the test begins.

• Candidates must be familiar with the use of computer along with its basic parts like keyboard and mouse. A candidate must note that it is his responsibility to acquire these skills before appearing for the test. The university, however, will not take any responsibility in this matter.

• Candidates are not allowed to carry some specific materials which include pencil box, calculators and log tables, Clark tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, bits of paper, personal stereo systems, Bluetooth devices, pagers or mobile phones.

• Also, candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the entire duration of the test is over. Under any circumstances, if a student leaves the hall before the specified time duration, he will not be permitted to re-enter. Moreover, there are no waiting facilities for candidate’s families or friends at the respective exam centre.

• Candidate’s each and every action will be closely monitored by using webcams and closed-circuit cameras by the exam centre authorities. Any conversation among the candidates in the test hall shall be considered as misbehaviour and will be taken seriously followed by strict action as per GITAM rules.

• Moreover, if any candidate is found inclined towards unfair means or impersonation, their exam will be cancelled then and there and they will be liable to be debarred from taking the examination as per the university rules.

The GITAM GAT 2020 result will be announced on 3^rd week of April 2020. Candidates can view GITAM Admission Test (GAT) result 2019 in online mode on the Official Website of the exam. 

Procedure to check the result:

• Visit the official website of GITAM University and click on the link 'GAT - 2020 Result'.

• After clicking on the link, you will be directed to a new page.

• On the same page, candidates will have to enter the GITAM GAT hall ticket number and date of birth.

• Clicking on the ‘Submit’ tab will display the result on the system.

• The result will show candidates' scores and ranks.

• Candidates must download the result and keep 2-3 photocopies of the result for admission process.

GITAM GAT 2020 - Counselling Schedule

The counselling of GITAM GAT 2020 will be organised from the 2nd week of May to mid of June 2020. The counselling is organised by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University, after the announcement of result.

Those aspirants who are eligible are able to take part in the counselling. The online counselling of GAT 2020 is held at the counselling centres of University.

Steps to download GITAM GAT 2020 Call Letter:

• Step 1: Candidates can go to the official website of GITAM GAT 2020.

• Step 2: Go to "Announcement" section and click on the link "Download Counselling Call Letter". This will direct the candidates to a page where they can download the counselling letter.

• Step 3: Enter your application number and press on the submit button.

• Step 4: Call letter will appear on the screen and take a print out of it.

GITAM GAT 2020 - Counselling Schedule

GITAM GAT 2020 - Counselling Procedure

• Candidates will be called in the order of their merit ranks and Seat Allotment is done on the basis of the choices submitted by the candidates who will be processed centrally and seats will be allotted in order of the merit on the basis of the locked choices.

• The counselling fee is Rs 1,000/- and it has to be paid in cash at the time of the counselling process.

• The candidates have to report to the University for document verification with the original documents along with the payment receipt.

• If candidates are unable to do so, they can send their parent/guardian with the original documents.

• After the completion of verification, all provisionally admitted candidates will be required to physically report at the final allotted University.

• Candidates have to submit the Balance Fee (if any) at the time of the registration for First Semester classes.
