Eligibility

DNB PDCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt of India i.e. have passed/ Passing the final examinations for Post graduate diploma on or before 31 December 2019 can apply for the post diploma CET examination in the same Broad specialty.

 

  • Submission of proof of having passed/ Passing the Post graduate diploma final examination on or before the 31 December 2020 is an essential pre- requisite.

 

  • In case the candidate does not submit requisite proof of passing his/ her post graduate diploma final examination at the time of centralized merit based counseling, their candidature shall not be considered for PDCET January 2020 admission session.

 

  • Candidate found to be ineligible at any stage of PDCET will not be permitted to appear in the examination.

 

  • In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/ or being successful in the PDCET, the result/ candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/ or is deemed to be cancelled as and when the ineligibility is detected.

 

  • Requests for appearing in PDCET from candidates, who are qualifying and/ or getting their results of the basic eligibility qualification after 31 December 2020 shall be summarily rejected Candidate who are qualifying their PG Diploma exit examination or and getting their results after 31 December 2020 or likely to qualify after 31 December 2020 need not apply in the PDCET exam as they shall be ineligible to appear in the PDCET.

 

  • Candidates already pursuing a MDIMS/ DNB course are not eligible to appear for DNB-PDCET till such time they have completed the duration of prescribed course or have been discharged from the course.

 

  • Candidates who have joined DNB (Post Diploma) course in or after December 2016 session are not eligible to appear in DNB.

 

  • PDCET January 2020 admission session. This shall be irrespective of their resignation or discontinuation from the course due to any reason.

 

  • Appearing in PDCET do not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at NBE accredited hospital/ institutes Registration with M.C.l./ State Medical Council is necessary and its documentary proof should be fumished at the time of counselling.

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Process:

  • Click on 'Apply Online'.

 

  • Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password.

 

  • User ID and password will be sent through SMS and Email.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

Candidates have to reach the Examination Center before the reporting time because of pre-test procedure including Registration and On-Site Orientation.

Once the On-Site Registration has begun, he/she shall not be allowed into the examination hall.

Candidates must also register their names at the registration counter where their hall tickets are also verified.

Candidates are not allowed to bring any kind of printed/ written materials to the exam hall.

Once the test starts, the candidate will not be allowed to go outside the exam hall under any circumstances.

Candidates are also not allowed to carry calculators, any kind of electronic gadgets, wrist-watches, or any other object/ device into the exam hall.

During the exam, Candidates have to be silent and let others write their exam peacefully.

Candidates found doing unfair things in the presence of invigilator his/ her application is cancelled and banned immediately.

  • Merit List for Post Diploma CET All candidates appearing in post Diploma CET examination will be ranked in order Of the marks secured by them amongst Other candidates Of same Broad speciality.

 

  • Separate merit will be prepared for each Broad speciality in which Post Diploma CET examination is conducted.

 

  • For e.g. the merit list for DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology secondary seats will have only Post DGO candidates as contenders.

 

  • During the examination, candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends.

 

  • Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme indicated above.

Tie Breaker Criteria

 
  • In the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same score, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied to determine inter-se merit in descending order of application till unique inter-se merit is determined for all such candidates: Candidate who has less number of negative responses shall be placed at the higher position.

 

  • The Candidate who has the number of correct responses shall be placed at a higher position.

 

  • Failing which, date of birth of the candidate will be taken into consideration.

 

  • Older Candidates will be placed at a better merit position.

 

  • There is no provision for re-checking or re-totalling or re-evaluation of the question paper, answers, marks and no query in this regard will be entertained.
