Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) is a National Level Entrance Examination Organized to appoint skilled teachers for Primary level and Upper Primary level. It conducted twice in a year – December and July. CTET 2019 entrance exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. This Year, CTET 2019 entrance test for July session is scheduled for 07 July 2019 in Offline Mode. CTET 2019 entrance test for December session is scheduled for 08 December 2019 in Offline Mode. Eligibility

CTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET:

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

 

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher”.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

 

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

OR

  • Any candidate having qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

OR

  • Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Process:

 

  • Visit the official website of the CTET 2019.

 

  • Click on 'Go to the link “CTET December 2019 Application Form” and open the same'.

 

  • Applicants will be re-directed to a New Log In Page.

 

  • Candidates will have an option to fill the form and register by completing the processes entirely. 

 

  • Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No. and save the form.

 

  • Thereafter, the candidate needs to choose the test centre of his/ her choice.

 

  • Applicants will have to Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature saving the details.

 

  • After uploading these documents, click on the "Submit" button.

 

  • Mode of Payment: You can pay the fees Online through e-challan or debit/credit card. 

 

  • Submit and Print the Confirmation page for record and future reference.

 

Note: CTET 2019 Application Fee is non-refundable in any case.

Admit Card for CTET 2019 for July Session has been released online and is available to download on the official website from 21 June 2019.

Admit Card for CTET 2019 for December Session will be available to download on the official website from the Third Week of November 2019.

  • Click on Anyone of them i.e., Either Download Admit Card (Server 1) Or Download Admit Card (Server 2).

 

  • Click on Download Admit Card through Application Number and Date of Birth.

 

  • Now You can enter details of Application Number, Date of Birth, Security Pin displayed there and then Click on Sign-In.

 

  • Upon successful log-in, the hall ticket will be displayed on a screen.

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

 

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Black/Blue Ball Point Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

The Candidates must keep in mind that they should take some Valid ID proof with them along with Admit card. The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre 90 minutes before the examination.

Candidates are also requested to check the instructions before they attend the entrance exam.

No candidate is allowed to carry any baggage inside the examination hall.
The candidates must sign twice on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material in printed or written form and things like log tables, formula book, mobile phone, pager, programmable calculators inside the exam hall.
Candidates are requested to take care of their own things like materials, purses, gold etc., and should be self- responsible for their things.

Candidate should not do any kind of Malpractice while the exam for which he/she shall be debarred.

Approach the hall invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of the examination. Candidate should not leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam.

Exam Result Date

CTET 2019 for July Session Result has been released & is available on the official website from 30 July 2019.

CTET 2019 for December Session Result will be available on the official website within 06 weeks from date of conduct of Exam.

Step 3: Enter your Roll Number and click on submit.

 

Step 4: The online Score-Card for CTET 2019 will appear on the screen.

Qualifying Marks

  • The qualifying mark of CTET 2019 is 60% or more.

 

  • Candidates who will score equal to or more than the qualifying marks will be qualified in the exam.

 

  • Candidates have to secure a minimum of 90 out of total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing.

 

  • The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement.

 

  • The candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

 

  • School Management (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

 

  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

 

  • In case of loss or damage of CTET certificate, candidates can apply for a duplicate certificate.

 

  • A candidate can get a duplicate copy of CTET mark sheet / Eligibility certificate by paying the prescribed fees (Rs. 200/- + Rs. 35/- (Postal Charges)) Within 14 working days through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.

 

  • The validity period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the announcement of its result for all categories.

 

  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate.

 

  • A person who has qualified CTET 2019 may also appear again for improving their score.
