Introduction

Joint CSIR University Grands Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) 2020 June Session is a National Level Entrance Test Organised twice a year & now it is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the first time on behalf of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) for determining the eligibility of Indian Nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (LS) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology

NTA has announced the important dates of the CSIR UGC NET exam of June 2020 at its official website. CSIR UGC NET 2020 June Session Application Form will be available from 16th March 2020 to 15th April 2020. As per the official notice, the CSIR UGC NET 2020 June Session exam will be conducted on 21st June 2020 in Online Mode. CSIR UGC NET 2020 - Eligibility for June Session

Age Limit

  • For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years as on 01.01.2020.

 

  • For Lectureship/ Assistant Professor (NET): No upper age limit.

Educational Qualification

  • M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/ B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.

 

  • Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of the application form, are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship.

 

  • Such candidates will have to submit the attestation form duly certified by the Head of the Department/ Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared.

 

  • B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates; 50% marks for SC/ ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply.

 

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree will be eligible for CSIR fellowship only after getting registered/ enrolled for PhD/ Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years.

 

  • Candidates possessing only Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply only for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS)/ Associate Professor.

 

  • Specification of degrees (whether Bachelor’s or Master’s) as notified by the UGC in its Gazette Notification No. F. 5-1/2013 (CPP-II) dated 5th July 2014 and as amended from time to time, shall apply.

 

  • The eligibility for lectureship/ Assistant Professor of NET qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC.

 

  • PhD degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991 with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship/ Assistant Professor only.

Understand the Concepts

One needs to understand the concepts thoroughly for which you have to check the syllabus and exam pattern first.

Prepare a good timetable

We can easily get a month-wise strategic timetable to become perfect in the whole syllabus & also to utilise the time in preparing the chapters you feel less prepared in.

Concentrate on Important Topics

Dedicate more time to the important topics and topics you feel important. Read the topics that are very important and make short notes on each topic.

Practice Sample Papers & Mock Tests

Try to practice the number of sample papers/mock tests with a timer in hand. This will help you save time and make you perfect in solving the number of problems on time.

Time Management

Try to give an equal amount of time for each subject for preparing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Try to improve your speed and accuracy of solving questions.

The Candidates must keep in mind that they should take some Valid ID proof with them along with Admit card.

Applicants are requested to be present at the Test Venue at least 30 minutes before the time of commencement of the Exam.

Candidates are also requested to check the instructions before they attend the entrance exam.

No candidate is allowed to carry any baggage inside the examination hall.
The candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material in printed or written form and things like log tables, formula book, mobile phone, pager, programmable calculators inside the exam hall.

Candidates are requested to take care of their own things like materials, purses, gold etc., and should be self- responsible for their things.

Candidate should not do any kind of Malpractice while the exam for which he/she shall be debarred.

Approach the hall invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of the examination.

Candidate should not leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam.
