BITSAT Entrance Exam 2019

Additional Criterion:

1. Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2019 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2018 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2019 test.

2. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.

3. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2017 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2019.

4. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2019.

5. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2019. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

6. Direct Admission to Board Toppers: 

A. First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2019 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2019 score.

B. The First Rank Candidate should have scored the minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB subjects in class 12th. [Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology]

C. The First Rank Candidate should have at least 60% in each of the PCM/PCB subjects in their Class 12th examination.

D. Further details about this scheme will be available at BITS admission website by 15th of May 2019.

BITSAT Online Application Process - How to Apply for BITSAT 2019? - Step By Step Detailed Guide

Candidates must keep the following documents/ things ready before they start filling the application form of BITSAT 2019.

Credit/ Debit Card/ NetBanking /Cash
The aspirants must keep all of their educational certificates, photograph and signature ready as per the specifications.

Step 1 - Registration

1. Visit the BITSAT 2019 Official Website

2. Download the BITSAT 2019 Brochure

3. Read All the Instructions Carefully and then click on “Proceed to Apply online ‘BITSAT 2019” link provided at the bottom of the page.

4. Click on “New Registration” link.

5. Enter the personal details i.e. your name, gender, date of birth, valid email id.

6. Click on the “Proceed” button.

7. Also, enter 12th examination details and preferences of test centre. Indicate any 3 preferences from the options in the drop-down menu for BITSAT Exam Center.

8. If you want to edit your filled details then, click on “Edit and Save Details” button, otherwise click on “Confirm and Submit Details” button.

9. Note, down the generated application number.

Step 2 - Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature

1. Use the email id and password to login.

2. Upload Scanned Images by clicking “Choose File” option.

3. Select the images of signature and photograph.

4. Click on “Next” button. The preview of images will appear.

5. Click on “Upload” button to upload images.

Step 3: Pay BITSAT 2019 Application Fee

The application fee can be paid either of the modes: online and offline. The application fee is:

Mode of Payment: The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The fee can be paid using any of the following modes:

1. Payment using Paytm.com: Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/ UPI/Paytm Wallet at ZERO Charges. For cashback of Rs.50. Use promocode BITSAT.

2. Payment using Paytm Payment Gateway: You can make payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/ UPI/Paytm Wallet & International Cards.

3. Payment by Credit Cards and Debit Cards using Online Payment Gateway: All credit & Debit cards issued by Master and Visa are accepted. More details are available on the payment page.

4. Payment through Net Banking enabled accounts of Indian banks using Online Payment Gateway: Participating banks list will be displayed once you choose to pay through this mode.

5. Cash payment at all ICICI Bank branches in India along with a specially generated Pay-in Slip:  Applicants can choose to pay through Cash at ICICI Bank branches. Applicants have to just download the specially designed Pay-in-slip from the website on the payments page and walk-into any ICICI bank branch along with cash. The bank shall deposit cash and give a confirmation receipt for the same.

Note: International Applicants can also apply for BITSAT. There is no separate procedure for International Applicants or NRIs. However, those candidates who have citizenship other than INDIA can apply under International student’s admissions scheme.

Step 4: Print the Application

1. Print the filled-in application form for future references.

BITSAT 2019 - Online Application Form Instructions:

1. After completing the form online, students can take a print out of the filled-in form. Students can keep it for any future reference. The last date for applying by completing the online application form alongwith prescribed fee is 5:00 PM on 20th March 2019. Students are not required to send this form by post.

2. While filling the online application form students will be asked for center preferences for writing BITSAT-2019 exam. Students can choose the centers from within India or Dubai. If a students chooses centers within India they will be asked to give three preferences and will be allotted one out of the three. If  Dubai is chosen as a center the candidate will not be asked for any other center preference and you will be allotted Dubai Center only.

3. If a student chooses centers within India, Application Fee for male candidates will be Rs. 3150/- and for female candidates it will be Rs. 2650/-. If  Dubai is chosen as a center, the Application Fee for both male and female candidates will be the same and will be US$80 (or Rs.5600/- Indian Rupees).

4. Before printing out the filled-in application form, the system will generate a unique application number. Candidates should Note down this number as it will be required for all future correspondences. If there is no printer attached to the computer while filling the online application, candidates can complete the application process and take the printout of the application form later by entering Application number, Password and Email-Id.

5. While applying online, candidates should not use the 'Back' button on the tool bar of the browser. Students can use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. Further, when completed applying, it is advised to close all the open browser windows to protect the personal data.

6. After successful completion of the application process, students may check the application fee payment status by Clicking Here.

7. A candidate is allowed to fill and submit only one online application form. Multiple applications of a candidate are liable to be rejected.

8. A candidate can apply for BITSAT-2019 exam online only through the official BITS admission website (www.bitsadmission.com).

9. A valid Email-ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for the registration of your online application. The Email-ID and Mobile Number should be kept active till the declaration of admission results. BITS will send important information related to your application for writing the test followed by admission procedure on this registered Email/Mobile number.

BITSAT 2019 - Online Application Form Correction - How to Make Corrections?

1. BITS, Pilani has provided the correction facility in online mode only.

2. Candidates are allowed to make changes in the preselected examination date.

3. Candidates those have submitted the online application fee, uploaded the photograph and signature are allowed to make changes in the application form.

4. Candidates can make corrections in all data except email ID, mobile number, date of birth and address details.

5. To edit/modify the date in BITSAT application form, candidates should visit BITSAT Official Website

6. Click on ‘BITSAT Form Correction’ link.

7. A new page will open.

8. Enter the application number, gender, date of birth, email ID, etc.

9. Click on “Proceed” button.

10. Edit the details and click on ‘Submit’ button.

11. Save the changes and take the printout of the confirmation page.

BITSAT 2019 - Slot Booking [ Test Date & Slot ]

1. The window for booking a slot will be open from 28^th March – 8^th April 2019. Candidates who had registered for BITSAT can only avail participate in this procedure.

2. The institute provides candidates with an option to book their test slot as per their preference.

3. Candidates can Login with the issued Application Number, Gender, Date of Birth and Email ID to book a slot.

4. Upon successfully logging in, the candidate will have to select a convenient exam centre from the available options.

5. The list of centres will be provided in a drop-down menu.

6. In case a particular exam centre has no dates or slots, the candidate can choose a new centre.

7. However, this facility will be available only till the final booking is done.

8. Once the candidate has booked an exam centre, it cannot be changed any further.

9. After booking an exam centre, the candidate has to next book a test date.

10. The available dates for the exam centre chosen by the candidate will be highlighted in green.

11. To check the availability of slots, the candidate has to hover the cursor over that test date. The different test slots for that centre will be displayed.

12. The candidate must pick a suitable date.

13. In the final step, the candidate has to choose the time for the entrance time.

14. The entrance exam will be conducted in two session- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

15. Candidates can choose any one of them and confirm it by clicking 'confirm slot booking'.

16. After booking BITSAT test slot, the candidate must check that there is no discrepancy in the details.

17. If there is any discrepancy, it should be brought to the notice of the concerned authorities immediately.

18. The slots are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

19. Candidates failing to book a slot will be offered a test date, time and venue by the organising institute.

BITSAT 2019 - Retrieving BITSAT 2019 Application Number

1. BITSAT RegistrationNumber is one of the important element in the whole BITSAT Slot Booking Process. 

2. If a candidate forgets theapplication number or misplaces it, the application number can be retrieved through below steps.

4. Enter the Registered Email Id, Mobile Number, Gender and Date of Birth.

5. Click on “Proceed” button.

6. BITSAT 2019 Application Number will be provided again.

BITSAT 2019 - Important Dates & Deadlines:

BITSAT 2019 Exam Day Instructions

• Applicants must need to aware that BITSAT is a computer based online examination. No examination will be held through the Pen Paper mode.

• Before filling the application form, applicants have to understand the instructions carefully as mentioned.

• Applicants who are appearing the examination have to check prescribed BITSAT Eligibility Criteria that whether they are eligible or not as the one who will not meet the Eligibility Criteria are not allowed to sit in the examination.

• Those who will not follow the instruction might leads to cancellation of the examination.

• The medium of BITSAT examination will be English only. The examination will not be held in another regional language other than English.

• Applicants need to carry their own pen/pencil for rough work, to sign in the attendance sheet as sharing of these things are not allowed in the examination hall.

• During the examination, the blank sheets will be provided by blank sheets for rough work for rough work on applicants demand. This sheet should totally be used for the rough work only. Applicants have to return the sheet back at the end of the examination as per the invigilator instructions.

• Electronic items such as calculators, digital wristwatches, logarithmic tables, and cell phones are not allowed inside the examination hall. If found leads to cancellation of the examination of that particular candidate.

• Before the examination, applicants have to download the BITSAT Admit Card that contains the information regarding exam date, slot, venue, etc. It’s required for verification purpose to sit in the exam centre. Applicants who will not carry their admit cards not allowed to enter inside the exam centre.

• Recent passport size photographs attested by Head of Institution or Gazetted officer are also required to paste on the admit card.

• Personal id proof is required for the verification purpose.

• Automatically disqualified will be done on one who will violate the BITSAT rules and regulations in the exam centre.

• Applicants have to focus on their own sheets without creating any kind of noise as each any every activity of applicants is recorded inside the exam hall by using the CCTV cameras.

• Applicants must have to reach the venue at least 45 minutes before the commencement of exam to avoid any kind of hustle.

• As BITSAT exam is totally computer based so the applicants who are appearing for the examination must have the general knowledge about the computer.

• Applicants are required to fill the details mentioned on the computer screen like name, password, etc to log in.

• Upon confirmation of name and photograph applicants need to agree on the terms and conditions of the exam for further proceeding.

• Applicants can also choose the selection which they want to answer first in the examination.

• Applicants need to click on the 'I have completed the Test' button only after the completion of the examination as doing so will not be revert back to exam questions.
