No Specific Age Limit Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.

Admission to Integrated First Degree Programme -  B. Pharm

Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, & Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.

Minimum Marks (Indian Applicants)

 

 

1. Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

2. Additionally, the candidate must have scored minimum 60% in each paper.

Physics = 60%

Chemistry = 60%

Mathematics/Biology = 60%

 

BITSAT Eligibility (International Applicants)

 

1. International students must have qualifying examination (Grade 12) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English conducted by the country's Board of Higher/Senior Secondary Education, including those in India, or its equivalent examination such as the “A” levels (conducted by Cambridge International), the International Baccalaureate, etc.

2. Minimum of 75% aggregate marks (7.5/10), in PCM in qualifying 12th exams.

3. At least 60% marks (6/10) in each of individual subjects of PCM in qualifying 12th exams.

4. Minimum aggregate score of 1600 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT.

5. Minimum aggregate score of 1600 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2.

6. International candidates must have secured 60% in all the subjects of class 12.

7. Minimum aggregate of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English subject should be 75%

Additional Criterion:

 

1. Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2020 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2020 test.

 

2. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.

 

3. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020.

 

4. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020.

 

5. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2020. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

 

6. Direct Admission to Board Toppers: 

 

A. First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2020 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2020 score.

 

B. The First Rank Candidate should have scored the minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB subjects in class 12th. [Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology]

 

C. The First Rank Candidate should have at least 60% in each of the PCM/PCB subjects in their Class 12th examination.

5. Cash payment at all ICICI Bank branches in India along with a specially generated Pay - in Slip:  Applicants can choose to pay through Cash at ICICI Bank branches. Applicants have to just download the specially designed Pay-in-slip from the website on the payments page and walk-into any ICICI bank branch along with cash. The bank shall deposit cash and give a confirmation receipt for the same.

BITSAT 2020 Scholarship

Board Toppers

Candidates who secure the top 3 positions in class 12 in their respective boards are given a merit scholarship of 100%, 75% and 50% of the first-semester tuition fee respectively.

Qualifying Examination Merit

i) Students with an aggregate of 90% or above in qualifying exam will get a scholarship of 20% for first-semester tuition fee.

 

ii) Students with an aggregate of 80% or above in qualifying exam will get a scholarship of 15% for first-semester tuition fee.

Competitive ExaminationsMerit

Students who have appeared in AIEEE or IIT-JEE for admission to engineering programmes are awarded scholarships ranging from 25%-75% in the first-year tuition fee depending on the score secured in the examination.

BITSAT 2020 - Slot Booking

BITSAT-2020 Slot booking is now enabled. Registered candidates may reserve the test date and slot on a First Come First Serve basis. 

Candidates who have registered for BITSAT- 2020 should reserve their Test date and time on 10th April 2020 - 18th April 2020. It will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Enter the personal details below and click on the 'Proceed' button and follow the instructions to reserve your test date and time. Requests for change of test centers will not be entertained. Further, once the candidate reserves a date and time, no changes are allowed.

After you have reserved the test date and time, the hall ticket with detailed instructions will be available for downloading during 20th April 2020 - 13th May 2020. Make sure that you visit this website again between these dates to download the Hall ticket and instructions.

Be familiar with the exam pattern and syllabus:

 

The very first step of good preparation for the exam is going through the exam pattern and syllabus. The syllabus for the BITSAT exam is somewhat similar to that of JEE Main exam but the exam pattern is completely different. You should be completely familiar with the BITSAT Exam pattern then only you will be able to make good strategies for the preparation.

 

Practice Previous Papers of BITSAT:

 

Taking a look at previous JEE MAIN question Papers is very crucial. Previous papers give the candidate an idea of how the exam is going to be and make him clear about the exam pattern. It is also useful to know the difficulty level of the exam. Practising previous question papers and solving them gives candidate confidence, which is very important to crack competitive exams.

 

Regular Studies

 

Regular Studies is what makes you different from the others. You should study for at least 6 hours a day. Additionally, you should distribute your study time smartly. BITSAT 2020 Identification Documents

Test day Requirements

Acceptable ID’s include PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photo)/ Aadhar Enrolment Number / Ration Card.  

 

Note: Candidates must bring their own pencils, own geometry box set, erasers, colour pencils and crayons for the Aptitude Test of Paper-2.

BITSAT 2020 Exam Day Instructions

 

  • Applicants must need to aware that BITSAT is a computer based online examination. No examination will be held through the Pen Paper mode.

 

  • Before filling the application form, applicants have to understand the instructions carefully as mentioned.

 

  • Applicants who are appearing the examination have to check prescribed BITSAT Eligibility Criteria that whether they are eligible or not as the one who will not meet the Eligibility Criteria are not allowed to sit in the examination.

 

  • Those who will not follow the instruction might leads to cancellation of the examination.

 

  • The medium of BITSAT examination will be English only. The examination will not be held in another regional language other than English.

 

  • Applicants need to carry their own pen/pencil for rough work, to sign in the attendance sheet as sharing of these things are not allowed in the examination hall.

 

  • During the examination, the blank sheets will be provided by blank sheets for rough work for rough work on applicants demand. This sheet should totally be used for the rough work only. Applicants have to return the sheet back at the end of the examination as per the invigilator instructions.

 

  • Electronic items such as calculators, digital wristwatches, logarithmic tables, and cell phones are not allowed inside the examination hall. If found leads to cancellation of the examination of that particular candidate.

 

  • Before the examination, applicants have to download the BITSAT Admit Card that contains the information regarding exam date, slot, venue, etc. It’s required for verification purpose to sit in the exam centre. Applicants who will not carry their admit cards not allowed to enter inside the exam centre.

 

  • Recent passport size photographs attested by Head of Institution or Gazetted officer are also required to paste on the admit card.

 

  • Personal id proof is required for the verification purpose.

 

  • Automatically disqualified will be done on one who will violate the BITSAT rules and regulations in the exam centre.

 

  • Applicants have to focus on their own sheets without creating any kind of noise as each any every activity of applicants is recorded inside the exam hall by using the CCTV cameras.

 

  • Applicants must have to reach the venue at least 45 minutes before the commencement of exam to avoid any kind of hustle.

 

  • As BITSAT exam is totally computer based so the applicants who are appearing for the examination must have the general knowledge about the computer.

 

  • Applicants are required to fill the details mentioned on the computer screen like name, password, etc to log in.

 

  • Upon confirmation of name and photograph applicants need to agree on the terms and conditions of the exam for further proceeding.

 

  • Applicants can also choose the selection which they want to answer first in the examination.

 

  • Applicants need to click on the 'I have completed the Test' button only after the completion of the examination as doing so will not be revert back to exam questions.

BITSAT 2020 FAQ's

Q) I want to apply for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Should I apply separately?

Ans: No. A single form is sufficient, where you can give your preferences to all the first degree programmes except B. Pharm. Programme for all the three campuses.

 

Q) What is the cut-off marks required in BITSAT-2020 to qualify for admissions?

Ans: It is not possible to predict the cut-off scores till all applications are received. The cut-off scores for I Semester 2019-2020 is available here. This is given only as information and the cut-off for First semester 2020-2021 will depend on the number of applications.

 

Q) Does any other university admit students based on BITSAT-2020 score?

Ans: Yes, There are universities which admit students using BITSAT-2020 scores. Check for know more details.

 

Q) What is the application procedure for candidates with foreign qualifications?

Ans: There is no separate procedure for those candidates who wish to be admitted through BITSAT. They have to apply similar to Indian students and to provide an equivalence certificate from AIU at the time of applying for Admissions later.

 

Q) I have obtained 74.6% in PCM aggregate. Will you consider it as 75%?

Ans:No. They need a minimum of 75.00% or more in PCM aggregate.
