The eligibility criteria of a candidate to appear in TET are as follows:

A. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.

B. Candidate must have a minimum academic and professional qualification as follows:

• Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

• Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

• Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

• Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known).

OR

• Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V provided the person so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

OR

• A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February  2011, may also apply for TET.

• However he can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

• Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Assam TET 2019 Online Application Process

Steps to fill-Up in Online Application Process:

• Visit the official website of the Assam TET 2019.

• Click on 'TET Advertisement 2019' Link & Click on Link 1 Or Link 2 to apply online.

• Click on'Click Here for New Registration', then on Next.

• Fill the name, address and other details and choose the test centre of your choice, then press the submit button to get your Application Number.

• Sign In using Application Number and Other details to complete the process.

• Upload your scanned passport size photo and scanned signature.

• Then, it will redirect you to the payment screen.

• Mode of Payment: Payment for the application is only through Online by Debit/ Credit/ Online Banking.

• Press the Save & Print button to get a printout of the Confirmation Page.

• It is not possible to modify the data after Save & Print.

• Preserve the copy of the online application for future reference till the end of admissions.

• Assam TET 2019 Application Fee is non-refundable in any case.

Test day Requirements

• One Passport Size Photo

• PWD Certificate

Acceptable ID’s include (must be original, valid and nonexpired)–Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.

Note: Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Black/ Blue Ball Point Pen.

Use of calculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website of Assam TET.

Step 2: candidate should Navigate Results Tab.

Step 3: Enter their Application Number/ Roll Number and Click on Search.

Step 4: Upon Successful Login, the online Score-Card for Assam TET 2019 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download it for further use.

Cut Off Procedure

The Cut Off of Assam TET exam will depend on many factors such as previous years cut-off, number of applicants, overall performance. Some of the factors are mentioned below:

• Number of Candidates appeared in the exam.

• No of candidates qualify the exam.

• Level of difficulty of the question paper.

• No. of the vacancy in the exam.

• Cut Off may also be sectional wise.

• The candidate’s Selection process will be done based on the performance in the Assam TET Entrance Exam.
  
  

• Candidates will be shortlisted by marks scored in the Entrance Exam.

• Candidates also have to give Personal Interview to get selected for the post of teacher.

• All qualified Applicants will have seven years of the validity period for Assam TET certificate from the date of result announcement for all category candidates (consisting both reserved & unreserved category).

• As the Validity of the Assam TET Certificate which is Only for Seven Years as per NCTE norms has Already Expired, a Proposal may send to be NCTE.

• Government of India for Extension of Validity of TET Pass Certificate up to 31st March 2020.
