Nationality

Candidates from Indian Nationals, Overseas citizens of Indian & Non -Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals are eligible.

Age Limit 

Min Age: 17 Years

Education Qualification

Candidate Should have passed the 12thClass under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY as the subject.

The candidates who have passed 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBS Entrance Examination

Minimum Marks

The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying examination (as in the essential qualification at Sl. No. 2 of this table) required for appearing in this examination are :

 

• General and OBC candidates: 60% SC/ ST candidates: 50% & PWBD candidates: 45%

 

Those with CGPA grades only will have to apply the conversion factor in the application form. The conversion factor should be as approved by their respective examination board.

The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination will be that of 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Intermediate Science.

Test day Requirements

The Admit Card is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of admission also.  

 

Report to the selected test centre with two copies of the Hall Ticket, one photocopy of the application form and any one of the following for photo identification: 

 

ID proofs allowed:

 

  • Permanent Driving License.

 

  • Passport.

 

  • PAN card.

 

  • Aadhaar card.

 

  • Government-issued ID containing photograph and signature.

AIIMS MBBS 2020 - Test Day Instructions:


1. Downloadable Admit Cards of all candidates eligible to appear in the examination will be hosted on website www.aiimsexams.org as per the schedule mentioned under ‘IMPORTANT DATES AT A GLANCE’. Candidates are advised to download their Admit Card from the above website. It may please be noted that the Admit Cards will not be sent By Post.


2. The Reporting Time for 1st shift is 07:00 AM and for 2nd shift is 01:00 PM.

 

3. No candidate will be allowed entry in the examination centre after 8:45 AM in 1st shift and 2:45 PM in a 2nd shift.


4. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre in time and not wait till the last minute. there are several mandatory pre-examination activities such as biometric capture, photo capture etc. to avoid any delay in commencement of the examination, candidates are required in their own interest to ensure that they enter the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.


5. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of 3½ hours.


6. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall without a valid Admit Card (Original print out), ID proof and one photograph. The ID proof should be the same as the one mentioned in the Application.


7. Candidates should NOT bring pen/pencil to the Examination Hall. Pen & Rough Sheet etc will be provided by AIIMS at the examination centre. The rough work will only be done on the rough sheet & backside of Admit Card.


8. Candidates should not bring any kind of wristwatches, cell phone, pager, calculator or any electronic gadget, Bluetooth devices etc. in the examination hall. These are strictly prohibited.


Any electronic item found with the candidate during an examination, even if switched off, will be considered as an attempt to use Unfair means and appropriate action will be taken.


9. In addition to above, any type of Ornament, headgear, hair bands, hair clips, belt, bags, credit cards, debit cards, books are strictly prohibited at Examination Centre. Hence, candidates are advised not to carry these items with them at the examination centre. AIIMS will not be held responsible for the safekeeping of these articles as arrangements for safekeeping of these items are not available at the centre.


10. No candidate should carry any text material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except a copy of Admit Card inside the examination hall.


11. If a candidate is found to be copying/conversing with other candidates he/she will be disqualified from taking that examination and the next one or two such examinations according to the nature of the offence.

 

12. Candidates must not obtain or give or attempt to obtain or give irregular assistance of any kind during the examination. This will entail expulsion and cancellation of candidature for the examination.


13. Any attempt to note down questions during the examination will be viewed very seriously, and invite criminal proceedings.


14. Candidates must leave the examination hall only after handing over a copy of Admit Card & Rough Sheet to the Invigilator.


15. Change, if any, in the address, Mobile Number, E-mail ID during the registration will only be done on a website by login their credentials on MyPage. However, after closing the registration a request mail through registered mail to be sent on aiims.mbbsexam2020@gmail.com to the Asstt. Controller (Examinations), AIIMS, New Delhi.


16. Any dispute with regard to any matter referred to herein will be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts alone.

  • The list of candidates who qualify for online counselling to the M.B.B.S. course would be declared tentatively by June 2020. Roll numbers of candidates who qualify for admission will be available on AIIMS website aiimsexams.org.

 

  • The Institute will not intimate unsuccessful candidates individually regarding the result of Entrance Test. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. However, the marks/ Percentile Scores of individual candidate will be made available on AIIMS Website aiimsexams.org.

 

  • Requests for re-evaluation/re-checking will not be entertained under any circumstances.

 

  • Selected candidates are required to report to the respective AIIMS to undergo Medical Examination by a Medical Board consisting of Faculty Members set up by the respective Institute. if in the assessment of the Medical Board, a candidate is found medically unfit to the course, then he/she will be not admitted and the decision of the Medical Board shall be final.

Counselling

AIIMS MBBS Counselling Dates 2020

The counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2020 will be conducted at Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi. Counselling will be held on tentatively by the first week of July.

 

The Counselling process is divided into 4 parts which have First round of counselling, Second round of counselling, the third round of counselling and the Open counselling.

 

The candidates who have obtained minimum qualifying marks in the AIIMS MBBS 2020 Entrance examination will be eligible for the 1st round of counselling.

AIIMS MBBS Counselling Procedure 2020

AIIMS MBBS 2020 Counselling Procedure:

 

As mentioned earlier, there will be three rounds of counselling i.e. first, second and third. Along with that, an open round and spot counselling will also be held by the authority in case of any vacant seats. Candidates included in the merit list and securing minimum cut off percentage and percentile will be eligible to participate for counselling procedure. Step 1 - Counselling Registration

 

The first-time users who are eligible to appear for counselling will be required to register for counselling using the link provided below. To begin with the registration, students are required to enter their Candidate ID and password to get redirected to the Mypage. On this page, the counselling tab will be opened for the aspirants who will be eligible for the counselling process.

 

The eligible aspirants need to register themselves for the counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2020 and create a new password. The password to be created to exercise the preferences should be different from the one used for logging in.

 

Note: It is advised to retain the password created for filling of preferences.

 

Step 2 - Filling and locking of choices (selection of AIIMS institutes)

 

In this step, aspirants need to click on ‘Make Choice’ button, in order to submit the preferences. To add the choice, click on the drop-down and select the AIIMS institute and click on ‘add-choice’. And to remove the choices filled, click on the delete button against the AIIMS institute chosen. Candidates must not forget to save the preferences after making changes. To reorder the choices, use the up and down arrows or drag and drop the choice of AIIMS institute to the particular position in the list.

 

Once the options are submitted, aspirants will be required to click on the submit and lock choices tab and accept the declaration form. Aspirants will be asked twice to lock the preferences, as once locked and submitted, no modifications and changes can be done.

 

Step 3 - Mock allotment result

 

After filling of choices for mock counselling, the result will be announced in the second week of July 2020. The mock allotment will be conducted to provide an idea to candidates regarding the counselling procedure and how the seat will be allotted to them on the basis of their choices.

 

Step 4 - Editing and final submission of choices

 

In this step, aspirants will be given an opportunity to edit and delete the choices submitted before, if preferred. It must be noted that the choices cannot be edited after final submission. To submit the new choices, click on the option ‘submit and lock choices’ tab. The declaration page will be displayed and candidates need to accept it. In the next step, click on ‘submit' and lock choices’ button for final submission. 

 

Note: If any student fails to submit the preferences for round one, then the choices filled for the mock round will be considered final for the first round.

 

Step 5 - Seat allotment result

 

The result of AIIMS MBBS counselling 2020 round one will be announced in the first week of July. The PDF file to check the seat allotment result will be available on this page, once released. The seat allotment of AIIMS MBBS 2020 will be done on the basis of preferences filled, rank secured in AIIMS MBBS and seats available.

 

Step 6 - Accept or refusal of allotted seats

 

After the candidates are allotted seats during the process of seat allotment, they need to decide whether to accept the allotted seat or refuse it. Aspirants who will be allotted seat can choose the following actions within the stipulated date and time.

 

  • Option 1: Refuse the seat - Candidates who do not want to take admission in AIIMS institute can refuse it by logging in through their Candidate ID and password. As per the rules of AIIMS MBBS 2020 counselling, if an aspirant will not refuse the allotted seat, it will be assumed that he/she has accepted the seat.

 

  • Option 2: Accept the seat - In case, aspirants wish to take the admission to the allotted AIIMS institute, they must accept the seat by logging in. After that, they need to report at the allotted institute with the list of relevant documents for verification and completion of the admission process.

 

  • Option3: Accept the seat and wish to participate for subsequent rounds - If in case, students being on the safer side, wants to accept the seat allotted and also wish to participate for the other rounds of AIIMS MBBS counselling 2020, they need to select an option. 

 

  • Option4: Refuse the seat and wish to appear for other rounds - There might be chances that aspirants will not be interested in the seat or institute allotted to them and wish to get other AIIMS institute, they can decline the seat and wish to appear for subsequent rounds of counselling for better allotment of seat.

 

Failure to select an option: If any candidate fails to login or select an option within the particular date and time, then he/ she will lose the allotted seats and will be considered ineligible to appear for a second and third round of counselling.

Step 7 - Reporting to the allotted institute 

 

Once the seat is accepted, candidates need to appear at the allotted AIIMS institute with the relevant documents for verification and completion of the admission process. Candidates are advised to take the set of photocopies and original ones along with the Demand Draft. What are the minimum aggregate marks required for the reserved category?

If you belong to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Orthopedic physically handicapped (OPH) category, then you should have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the four subjects in their Class 12 or HSC examination.

What are the age limit and the born year?

Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 17 years
Criteria: Candidates born on or after 1st January 2000, will not be considered for the admission process for AIIMS MBBS.

If I have not taken chemistry as my subject in 12th, am I eligible?
