Modes of Application

There are two modes of registration as under Applications or wherever the forms are available:

i)  Apply - Offline: 

Offline, OMR application forms can be procured from the University counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore & Chennai on producing a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- in favour of 'Amrita School of Engineering, Payable at Coimbatore'.

Note: 

● It is important that those candidates who are purchasing offline application are required to send the application at the earliest.

● Applicants will receive an SMS with the link to fill the rest of the details to complete the application process.

● The data shall be filled-in or before the last date of application submission.

● Candidates must send their Hard Copy of the Application form along with the receipt of DD taken in favour of the Amrita University to the given address below.

ii)  Apply - online:  

●Application submission is fully online and shall be submitted via the website amrita.edu/btech.

    ●  Candidate should Log in and fill the below details.

• Personal Profile (Name, Address & Contact details).

• Academic Profile (Marks of the qualifying examination & year, Last attended school).

• Family Profile (Income details).

• Academic Programme Preference – Academic Programme is a combination of both campus and branch.

• Mode of admission – AEEE/ JEE 

• • AEEE 2020: Choose Examination Center, Date, and Slot. 

• • JEE (Mains): Enter the details as in JEE scorecard.

• Choice of the city to attend the AEEE 2020 test.

• JEE Mains details if opting through JEE mode.

Note:

●Rs. 1000/- for candidates seeking admission through Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering 2020 and Rs. 300/- for candidates seeking admission based on the rank/score secured in JEE Mains 2020.

● Candidates need to pay only Rs. 1000/- if they wish to secure admission through both AEEE 2020 rank and JEE Main 2020 rank.

● The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email id. They are also advised to have a valid mobile number. 

● Applications received after the due date will not be entertained.

● In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card, the candidates may have to pay additional processing charges as per government rules.

● The Application may be rejected in case any false information is submitted.

Steps to fill AEEE 2020 Online Application Form:

• Candidates have to visit the Official Website.

• Click on ' B.Tech Admissions 2020 Open - Apply Now'.

• Then click on 'Apply Now'.

•  Login/Register for New User, Select the Course, Stream.

• Upload passport size photo & scanned copy of your signature.

AEEE 2020 Scholarship

• The scholarship is awarded as a fee waiver for the first year, based on the rank scored in the examination.

• The candidate has to score minimum CGPA as per the university rules in order to earn the fee waiver in the subsequent years.

• The scholarship amount is reimbursed in September after the last date of admissions.

AEEE 2020 Slot Booking

Availability of Slot Booking:

• Candidates attending the Computer Based Test shall select date and slot of their choice, subject to availability.

• The allotment of date/ slot will be on a first come first serve basis. If a candidate does not exercise his/ her option, he/ she shall be assigned a date/ slot as per the availability of the same.

• To Book Exam Date and Slot, registered candidates need to click the slot booking link provided in the University web page www.amrita.edu/ btech.

Slot Booking Procedure:

• Candidates can log-in using their Application Number and Date-of-Birth. In case of difficulty in logging in, open a ticket in the online query management system.

• After logging in, the candidates can select the test date and test slots based on the availability. To choose the date, click on the available date and click the continue button. In the next screen, candidates will be prompted to select a test slot based on its availability status.

• To change the test date, click on Change Test Date button. Candidates are advised to check the selection of Test Centre, Date and Time before confirmation.

• Click “Confirm Slot” button to confirm the booking.

• A slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances. Requests for change of test centres also will not be entertained.

• The address of the examination centre for a candidate will be mentioned in the Admit Card, which can be downloaded.

AEEE 2020 Admit Card

Availability of Hall Ticket:

• Hall Ticket will be available to download in the Official Website from April 2020.

Download Procedure:

• Candidates should Log - into the AEEE 2020 Official Website 

• Click on 'Admissions & go through B. Tech'.

• Click on 'Download Admit Card for May 7th Examination'.

• Enter Application Number & DOB, Enter the code shown in Image, and then Login.

• Upon successful log-in, the hall ticket will be displayed on a screen.

• Download and take a printout.

Marking Scheme

● Each Correct Answer Carries Three Marks.

● One Mark is deducted for the wrong answer.

Phase 1 - Registration: 

May 15 - (Registration for Seat Allocation Process opens at 05:00 PM.)

May 26 – 08:00 PM (Registration will close)

June 2 – 16 - Candidates can register after June 2, until June 10 except the two days between two rounds of the seat allotment.

However, they will be considered for seat allotment only in the subsequent round as per the schedule.

Phase 2 - Seat Allotment (Trial):

May 27 - The Trial allotment is published for the candidates to know their indicative position and understand the possibility of getting allotment in one of their academic preferences.

Trial Allotment does not guarantee the admission since changing of the academic preferences after trial allotment is allowed and it may change the position displayed in the trial allotment.

May 28 - Provision to change the academic preferences is closed on this date. No further communication in this regard is entertained after this date.

It is advisable to keep a printed copy of the academic preferences.

Status of a candidate after each round of allotment:

Candidates will belong to one of the following three categories after the payment:

Allotted, confirmed: Candidate has accepted the allotted academic preference in a particular round and is not interested in upgrading in subsequent rounds.

The Candidate will have to pay the partial tuition fees (Rs. 1,00,000) while accepting and confirming the allotment within the stipulated date failing by which the allotment made will stand cancelled and the candidate is not considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Allotted, Accepted, sliding requested: The Candidate accepts the seat allotment, however, wish to upgrade to a higher academic preference. Candidate needs to pay the partial tuition fees online (Rs. 1,00,000) within the stipulated date in order to be considered for an upgrade in the subsequent rounds.

If the candidate fails to pay the partial tuition fee, allotment made will stand cancelled and the candidate is not considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Waiting list: A candidate who has not been allotted any seat as per her/his academic preference shall automatically continue to be considered for allotment of a seat in the subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

If a candidate fails to secure an allotment as per academic preferences submitted even at the end of the last round of seat allotment, the university shall refund the registration fee already paid by the candidate.

Note: Allotment will stand cancelled if a candidate who has been allotted any one of the academic preferences and fail to pay the initial partial tuition fee within the stipulated time. The candidates shall also be removed from subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Phase 3 - Seat Allotment:

May 31 - First Allotment

June 03 -  Last date for payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) towards partial payment of tuition fees for the candidates who have been allotted candidates.

June 06 - Second Allotment

June 10 - Last date for payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) towards partial payment of tuition fees for the second (New) allotment candidates.

June 13 - Third Allotment

June 16 - Last date for payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) towards partial payment of tuition fees for the third (New) allotment and all the other candidates.

June 19 - Final Allotment. No further sliding shall be done.

Seat allotted as on June 19 to candidates who opted for sliding shall be final.

June 22 - Last date for payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) towards partial payment of tuition fees for the third (New) allotment and all the other candidates.

June 29 - All the candidates allotted the seats shall pay the balance tuition fee latest by June 29.

* Commencement of Classes will be intimated from the respective campus by Mid of July 2020.

Online Seat Allotment Process:

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will conduct the Seat Allotment Process online for admission to B.Tech programmes offered at Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Chennai. There is no need for the candidates to visit the campuses to participate in the seat allotment process.

Registration for Seat Allocation Process is also fully online. Registration for counselling will start from May 15 onward. JEE mains rank can be entered at the time of registration.

Seat Allocation Process Registration Info:

• Registration to participate in the Seat Allotment Process will start on May 15th.

• The registration fee to participate in the Seat Allotment Process is Rs. 5000/-.

• Registration fee is refundable only if the candidate fails to get any academic preference even in the last round of counselling.

• Registration does not guarantee a seat or admission.
