Jammu and Kashmir Joint Entrance Test (JKCET 2020) is an entrance exam organized by the JKBOPEE of Jammu and Kashmir for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) offered by the government and colleges private. JKCET 2020 Application Form has been released from 1st February 2020. JK CET Age Limit

There is no upper age bar for appearing in the Entrance Test for admission to Engineering Courses, both in Government and Private Colleges.

JK CET Eligibility

The candidates applying for admission to B.E./ B.Tech. Engineering Courses must fulfil the following eligibility conditions namely:

 

A candidate must:

 

  • be a Permanent Resident of the J&K State as defined in section 6 of the Constitution of the J&K State;
  • have passed Hr. Sec. Part-II (12th/ 10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised statutory Board/University;
  • be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the relevant year (2020)
  • have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates, including the Children of Defence Personnel, Children of Para- Military Forces, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in Sports and 40% marks for the reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (RBA/ALC/OSC);
  • have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their elective subjects in case of admission to B.E/B.Tech. Engineering Courses;
  • the candidates appearing/appeared in 10+2 (12th Class) annual examination 2019 can also apply to appear in CET-2020, provided such candidates have qualified the examination at the time of declaration of the result/at the date of counselling as may be notified by the Board. Their CET result shall remain withheld unless they produce the necessary certificate of qualifying the 10+2 (12th Class) examination;
  • The candidates applying under TFW category are open merit candidates. They must fulfil eligibility conditions meant for open merit

The process of  JK CET 2020 Registration is accomplished through the following steps:-

 

  • Then, click the Register button from the home
  • Fill the registration (Name, date of birth, gender, education details, address, and mobile number etc..) and save the button.
  • After the Registration Number and Password is generated
  • Then, click the Login here button on a home page.
  • And put your Registration Id and Password and click the login button.
  • Candidates can fill their Educational Qualification and Personal details in the application form.
  • Finally, after filling the J&K CET 2020 application form, the candidates make payment on the official prescribed notification.

The JKCET 2020 application form is available online for engineering courses and a candidate can apply and submit on the JKCET 2020 Official Website of JKBOPEE. 

Steps to Submit the JKCET 2020 Application Form:

 

  • Applicants must go to the official JKBOPEE website to complete the JKCET 2020 online application form.
  • Click on the link for JKCET 2020 Apply Online to Common Entrance Test
  • Fill in the details of the online application form for JKCET 2020
  • Upload Documents like Photographs, Signature, and Thumb Impression
  • Application Fee payment and submit the JKCET 2020 form

Stepwise Process on How to Submit the JKCET 2020 Application Form:

 

Step 1: Go to the Official JKBOPEE website and click on "Apply Online" for Common Entrance Test 2020 (Engineering).

Step 2: The new JKCET 2020 application page is displayed. Follow the instructions and click on "Click here to fill application".

Step 3: Important instructions and process for completing the application form. Review the details and click on the "Accept" link at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: The application form will appear. Personal details, contact information, gender, date of birth, category, examination centr, permanent address, etc.

Step 5: Applicants are required to enter their qualification details, download the photographs, signature and digital print, and then click on the "Submit" button to complete the process.

Centres of Examination:

 

  • The Entrance Test shall be held at the centres as may be specified by the Board in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only;
  • Centres shall be allotted by the BOPEE and the information regarding this shall be provided to the candidates on the Admit Cards;
  • The Test Centre once allotted shall not be changed under any circumstances;
  • The medium of the test will be English only,
  • The Board shall not conduct another test in any circumstances whatsoever for those candidates who fail to appear in the test on the scheduled date

  • The Admit Cards will be available online. The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards from the BOPEE Official Websites (jakbopee.org or www.jkbopee.gov.in) on photo paper printed in colour.

 

  • The candidates will be informed through a separate notification regarding the date for downloading of admit cards. Applicants are, therefore, advised to keep themselves updated with  the  information  on the official website

  • Enter the enrolled number.

Applicants, who don’t have internet facility, may avail this facility at the Help Desk of I.T. Section of BOPEE with a prior telephonic appointment, on a nominal fee of Rs. 100/-, on any working day at the below, mentioned BOPEE offices:

 

  • BOPEE Office, Bhagat-i-Barzullah, opposite J&K Bank, Srinagar-190005 (10 M. to 5 P.M.) during working days;
  • BOPEE Office, 4th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu-180012 (10 M. to 5 P.M.);
  • Candidates shall have to preserve admit cards till the allotment of seats/completion of selection/admission process,
  • Admit card is an extremely important document. It should not be mutilated, defaced or changed in any manner which makes it doubtful

JK CET Preparation Tips

JK CET Preparation Tips:

 

  • The topics covered during 11th and 12th are an important part of JKCET 2020 question paper.
  • JKCET aspiring candidates can also join coaching classes if they can manage their time well.
  • Students should study as many previous year papers as possible. This will help the candidates to become familiar with the concept & pattern of JKCET 2020 exams.
  • After the complete preparation, the students can take the timed – mock test & check whether they are able to complete in the given time. Students can also practice online test series after completing their syllabus.
  • JKCET 2019 aspirants are advised to clarify their Doubts by approaching to the school teachers or coaching teachers whenever they need. The smallest doubt should also be clarified by the candidates.
  • The candidates are advised to make a proper time schedule to finish the syllabus on time & have at least 3-4 days for revision of the entire syllabus.
  • The most important part of the preparation is to prepare short notes of the brief answers and also cover it before the day of examination. All of the important steps and concepts should cover by the students. The short notes will be very helpful for the students at the time of revision.
  • Students must have to solve the previous year question paper for the better preparation of examination. They will be able to understand the difficulty level of the paper with the help of previous year question papers. It is the best option for good practice.

  • Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) conduct the written test and counselling procedure using to select the exam applied aspirants.
  • J&K Polytechnic exam will be held on the 28th April 2019.
  • Then, the 2020 result and Cut off Marks of JK CET 2020 can be published on the same date (28th April 2020).
  • Then, the official board does not send any notification for exam appeared candidate and the official notification publishes only in online mode only.
  • Finally, the JK CET 2020 counselling starts from in the month of June.

Counselling

JK CET 2020 - Counselling Schedule

JK CET 2020 Counselling:

 

After the JK CET 2019 results announcement, candidates will be called for the counselling process. Only those candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process that will be shortlisted in the merit list. The complete details of the counselling will be provided on the website.

 

 The counselling process will be tentatively scheduled in July 2020 (Tentatively).

 

  • Candidate must be physically present at the counselling venue for the document verification and seat allotment process.

 

  • Candidates are advised to carry original and photocopies of all the relevant documents for the process of document verification, without which candidates will not be offered the seat.

 

  • The qualified candidates will be able to choose their preferred college and course at the time of JKCET 2020 counselling.

JK CET 2020 - Counselling Procedure

Procedure for Online Counselling:

 

 The following shall be the procedure for online counselling:

 

  • Subject to the limits fixed by the Board, candidates, who have qualified the examination and figure in the State Merit List shall be eligible to participate in the online counselling, provided they have submitted necessary documents online/offline as may be notified by the Board;

 

  • Such candidates shall be required to fill in online preference forms, as per the schedule as may be notified by the Board;

 

  • The candidates shall be given time to conduct a mock exercise to fill in the online preferences;

 

  • The candidates shall be required to pay an online counselling fee of Rs. 500/- to be eligible for consideration for allotment of a seat;

Procedure for Physical Counselling:

 

  • Subject to the limits fixed by the Board, candidates, who have qualified the examination and figure in the State Merit List shall be eligible to participate in the Physical counselling, provided they have submitted necessary documents online/offline as may be notified by the Board;

 

  • (Such candidates shall be required to fill in preferred forms, as per the schedule as may be notified by the Board. They shall be required to be present during the process of counselling and appear before the counselling committee.

 

  • The candidates shall be required to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500/- to be eligible for consideration for allotment of the seat through POS machine in the BOPEE office;

 

  • The procedure for allotment of the seat shall be the same as given hereinabove viz. on the basis of merit, preferences given by the candidates with due regard to the Reservation Rules. However, candidates will be called for counselling on their turn as per merit obtained in the examination.

 

        After completion of the first round of counselling (either by through online or Physical Counselling), a Notification indicating the allotment of seats to the candidates will be displayed on the website of BOPEE i.e. www.jkbopee.gov.in and shall be published in a such number of leading dailies also as may be deemed appropriate by the Board.

 

         Unless otherwise provided by the Board, all candidates, to whom a seat has been allotted in the 1st round on the basis of Merit-cum-Preference will have to compulsorily join college and course so allotted, within prescribed period by completing requisite formalities. i.e. submission of original educational & academic documents, like State Subject, category certificate etc.) and by submission of such other documents/undertakings as may further be required.
