Age Limit

There is No Upper age limit to apply for AP-SET examination.

Eligibility

i) The candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) are eligible to apply. However, in case of the Backward Classes (BC)/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Disability (PwD), category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree are eligible for this Test.

 

ii) The candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course or the candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for eligibility for Assistant Professor / Lecturer after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC/ SC/ ST/ PwD (Persons with Disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

 

iii) Candidates belonging to the third gender in other words transgender would be eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for SET examination as are available to SC/ ST/ PwD categories. The subject wise cut-offs for this category should be the lowest among those for SC/ ST/ PwD/BC categories in the corresponding subject.

 

iv) The PhD Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991(irrespective of the date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

 

v) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only. The candidates, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of SET subjects may appear in a related subject. 

 

vi) Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to APSET office. However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the APSET at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action. 

 

vii) Candidates having Post-Graduate Diploma awarded by Indian University/ Institute or Foreign Degree/ Diploma awarded by the Foreign University/ Institute should in their interest, ascertain the equivalence of their Degree /Diploma with Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. (viii) The qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state from where they have cleared their SET. 


(ix) The candidates who have qualified earlier in APSET /UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject they qualified.

  • Verify your eligibility before registering your application.

 

  • Andhra Pradesh State Government rule of reservation is applicable for APSET (Certificate issued by Andhra Pradesh Government is only valid).

 

  • Click on the Register link to register for Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2019.

 

  • Fill in the required information and enter a password of your choice. Please note that this password along with the register email id will be used to login and complete your registration process.

 

  • Candidate Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile number once submitted cannot be changed.

 

  • Your registered Mobile number may be used to send SMS communication

 

  • The email id and mobile number that you enter in the registration form will be treated as your primary contact details and all communications will be sent to the same.

 

  • On successful registration, an email will be sent to the registered email id. Login to the website using your registered Email ID and password. Remember your email-id and password of the application for your future correspondence.

 

  • Fill in the remaining details i.e. educational qualification, choice of examination centre etc. and click "Submit".

 

  • Upload your scanned photograph and signature in jpg/ jpeg format only. File size of the Photograph should be between 15kb to 50kb, Signature should be between 5kb to 20kb. The online application system will not allow uploading files smaller/ larger than the mentioned sizes.

 

  • If you claim any reservation upload the necessary caste/ disability / economically weaker section certificate. The size of a scanned copy for caste/ disability/ economically weaker section certificate should be between 50kb to 300kb. The online application system will not allow uploading files smaller/larger than the mentioned sizes.

 

  • A summary is displayed along with the total amount payable. Click on the "Make Payment" link, you will be redirected to the payment gateway website.

 

  • Application Fee Payment
  1. Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid through online system only by Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking for which the service charges, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.
  2. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
  3. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

  • On payment of the Application Fee, the same will reflect in your application profile.

 

  • You may take a print of your filled-in Application form generated, for your records and future reference.

AP SET 2019 - Identification Documents
Test day Requirements

The Admit Card is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of admission also.  

 

Report to the selected test centre with two copies of the Hall Ticket, one photocopy of the application form and any one of the following for photo identification:

  • Permanent Driving License
  • Passport
  • PAN card
  • Aadhaar card
  • Government-issued ID containing photograph and signature

  • AP SET 2019 will be conducted in CBT Mode.

 

  • The Admit Card must be presented for verification along with at least one original (no photocopy or scanned copy) valid identification card (for Example Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID, Government Employer ID and Driving License).

 

  • The candidates who do not have clear photographs on the hall ticket will have to bring two passport size photographs for appearing in the Test with an undertaking.

 

  • Candidates will be subjected to frisking to ensure that you are not carrying any electronic or any other gadgets, mobile/cellular phone, tablets, pen drives, Bluetooth devices, watch, calculator, log tables, wallet, purse, notes, charts, loose sheets or recording instruments strapped on your body or in your pockets.

 

  • There may not be a guaranteed security facility for the safe-keeping of your valuable devices or personal belongings outside the examination hall.

 

  • The check-in procedure inside the test hall includes capturing your photo and left thumb impression. This is a security feature which will verify your identity and also check impersonation by any candidate. Therefore, they are advised not to apply any external matters like Mehandi, Ink etc. on their Hands/Foot.

 

  • Candidates are allowed inside the test centre from 7:30 AM onwards (for the forenoon session) and from 12:30 PM onwards (for the afternoon session) for biometric verification.

 

  • The test centre gate will be closed at 8:45 AM (for the forenoon session) and at 1:45 PM (for the afternoon session). NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE TEST CENTRE AFTER CLOSING THE GATE.

 

  • Candidates can log in and start reading the necessary instructions 10 minutes before the start of the examination.

 

  • Candidates are prohibited from communicating, consulting or conversing with other candidates in the Examination hall or causing a disturbance in any manner whatsoever. Candidates are prohibited to borrow any item from other candidates in the Exam-Hall. In case of any disturbance, such candidates would be disqualified.

 

  • Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.

 

  • Candidate should ONLY carry his/ her hall ticket and valid identification card(s) inside the test centre and any other belongings will not be strictly allowed inside the test centre.

 

  • Mock Tests will be provided to help candidates practice CBT much before the actual examination.

 

  • Please inform the invigilator in case of any technical issues during the Examination.

 

  • Candidates can avail the facility of editing their application form after the last date.

Results

AP SET 2019 - Results

The result of the AP-SET will be made available on the Official Website in the month of November 2019. The candidate will not be individually intimated about their result.

  • The candidate’s Selection process will be done based on the performance in the AP SET Entrance Exam conducted by Andhra University.

 

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in the Entrance Exam.

 

  •  Qualified candidates need to attend certificate verification. Prior to this, candidates have not had to submit their documents during online application form filling or otherwise.
