AP ECET 2019 - Eligibility

The Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for ECET:

• They should be of Indian Nationality.

• They should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

• They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or any other Diploma from an AICTE approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Diploma.

• They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses as given in the following Annexure.

• Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./ B. Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of diploma course before admission into the college.

• Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry Admission into B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm

• Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the APECET-2019. Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission.

• Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

• The lateral entry seats in case of Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority) are 20% over and above the sanctioned intake into the course. In the case of University Colleges, the lateral entry seats are 10% over and above the sanctioned intake into the course.

• While filling up the lateral entry seats based on the APECET-2019 ranks, B.Sc. (with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects) stream students will be considered for admission only after exhausting all the qualified diploma holders.

Test day Requirements

• AP ECET admit card
• Photo Identity Proof

Acceptable ID’s include PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photo)/ Aadhar Enrolment Number. / Ration Card.

AP ECET 2019 - Exam Day Instructions

Candidates are required to go through the instructions given below carefully:-

• The examination centres will open 15 minutes before the reporting time of the Entrance Test on the day of examination

• Candidates are expected to be in their seats at the reporting time of the Entrance Test

• Candidates who do not possess the Admit Cards will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall under any circumstances. This card must be shown on demand

• Candidates are not admitted to the examination after 10.00 A.M. and not permitted to leave the Examination hall before 01.00 P.M.

• No candidate shall be allowed to enter examination hall for appearing in the examination after the distribution of Answer Sheets

• It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Paper of the branch for which they are eligible for admission (For Diploma Holders only)

• Any malpractice case will be dealt with as per rules of CETs in force

• The candidate must sit in the seat allotted to him/ her

• In no case, a candidate can change his/ her seat

• No candidate will leave the hall before the expiry of the full time prescribed for the Entrance Test and without handing over Answer Sheet to the invigilator on duty

• The candidate’s misbehaviour in any manner in the Examination Hall shall entail him/ her disqualification. Any disturbance in the examination hall shall be deemed as misbehaviour and the candidates shall forfeit the right to continue to sit in the examination hall. The decision of the centre superintendent shall be final.

AP ECET 2019 - Qualifying Marks

• The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in APECET -2019 is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.
• The rank obtained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at the APECET [FDH & B.Sc.(with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects)]-2019 by any candidate claiming to belong to SC/ST category will be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission.

AP ECET 2019 - Counselling Schedule

AP ECET Counselling 2019 will start from July 2019. Only qualified candidates are allowed to attend the web counselling:

• Through counselling, candidates can get admission into various engineering & pharmacy colleges. Admission is provided on the basis of AP every year. ECET score/ranks.

• The web counselling for the qualified candidates is conducted by the APSCHE

• The qualifying candidates are called for the counselling session by email or letter on a newspaper advertisement.

• The candidates have to first register themselves by paying the fee for the counselling session.  Admission will be given to the candidate on the basis of the score rank that they have obtained in the test.

• The conducting Authority conducts web counselling for qualified students.  In the counselling session, students 

AP ECET 2019 - Counselling Procedure

The Candidates who are attending for AP Engineering Common Entrance Test Counselling Should follow the below steps:

Step1: Registration for the Certificate Verification

• Firstly, find your Rank-wise carefully from the Helpline Centers and date. Then attend the Counselling.

• There you have to submit your Rank Card to the officer at the entrance.

• Then listen to an announcement, pay the application fee and obtain receipt & write your Mobile number.

• After that, you have to take the Registration-Cum-Verification form, from the Computer and see whether the phone number is printed correctly or not.

• And mention your hall ticket number, personal Details, and Mobile number in the registration book. Later go back to the Counselling room & wait for your rank announcement.

Step 2: Process for Certificate Verification

• After listening to the announcement, wait for your Counselling Number. When you hear your number, then go for Certification Verification.

• There the officer will verify your original certificates like Marks Memo, Rank Card, Income Certificate, Hall Ticket, And Caste Certificate if candidates belonging to the OBC, ST, and SC.

• Then you will be given a printout of receipt Certificates. Later collect your manual option form and leave the hall.

• The Registration Fee receipt will contain the registration ID and Password. So, keep the receipt safe to keep web options.

AP ECET Processing Fee Online Payment Procedure

Candidates should pay the AP ECET Processing Fee before attending the Certificate Verification process. In the event of a transaction, failure amount will be credited back to your account after two working days.

• First of all, visit the Official Website

• Now, click on the Processing Fee Payment Online.

• Enter your Hall Ticket Number and Rank Card.

• Click on Pay Fee Online.

• You can select the mode of payment (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking).

• Once payment is a success, click on the Print Button.

• Take a print out and produce at the time of verification of certificates.

AP ECET 2019 - Counselling Required Documents

The necessary documents for Andhra Pradesh ECET certificate verification are given below. Hence, the applicants have to take them while counselling. You may also visit the official website for complete details.

• AP ECET 2019 Rank card.

• Memorandum of Marks (Diploma/Degree).

• Provisional Diploma Certificate/Degree Certificate.

• Proof of Date of Birth (SSC or its Equivalent Memo).

• Study Certificate from IV to Diploma/ 7th to Degree to B. Sc. Maths candidates.

• Residence Certificate for preceding 7 years of the Qualifying examination i.e. Diploma/Degree.

• Andhra Pradesh Residence Certificate of Father/ Mother for a period of 10 years excluding the period of employment outside Andhra Pradesh from Tahsildar in respect of Non-Local Candidates.

• Aadhar Card (Original will be returned after the verification).

• AP ECET 2019 Hall Ticket.

• Integrated Community Certificate, in the case of BC/ ST/ SC issued by the competent authority.

• Income certificate of parents from all sources issued on or after 01.01.2014/ White Ration Card (candidate name and either of the parent’s name has to be reflected in the ration card) only for those who claim the tuition fee reimbursement).

The following procedure should follow the Diploma candidates who want to attend the AP ECET Web Counselling:

• Before attending the Web Counselling, the Candidates must complete their Certificate Verification Process.

• Afterwards, enter URL through the Internet, you will find the links to College profile, courses,  Helpline Centers, etc.,

• Later perform the web options and select the college that you want to study.

• Then Submit it. The Allotment will give by the JNTUA.

• Finally, you will get allotment order details SMS to your registered phone number sent from the allotted college.

The scorecard will be available in e-format on the website. On receiving the scorecard on May 10, 2019, the applicant will have to contact various admission authorities.
